Some of you know I'm building a doubler for my 89. Just finished full rebuilds on my 203 and 205, and twin sticked the 205. Got to thinking about new shafts last night and was looking around for yokes. Found 1350 and 1410 yokes for both sides of the 205 and the D60. Problem is with the Sterling 10.25. I can't find much of anything for it. My axle is the short pinion style so I know I will have to convert to long when I regear. Once converted I will have options but funds are directed at the doubler right now.
Does anyone make a 1350 yoke for the short pinion?
Or am I stuck running the stupid Ford U-joint till I regear?

 

don't know for sure, but the 2nd gen. is where it is at. i doubt you will find much support for the 1st gen. as they didn't even get to aftermarket diffs and r&p's until the 2nd was almost already gone from production.

 

Ok, spoke to Jesse at High angle Driveline. He was able to find a yoke for the sterling. It's strap style but he is going to mill it for u-bolts. Getting him to build my shafts so I went ahead and ordered all my new Yokes. Gonna run 1350 cv rear with 1410's for the front

 

uuuuugh my 91 sterling has a 1410 ujoint but its obviously the short pinion. I see nothing special about a 1410 yoke in a 92.5-later 10.25-10.50

Jesse is very highly spoke of on another forum. Talked with him for a wile today about everything and am very confident in his abilities.

Out of curiousity, how do you have a 1410 on your short pinion 10.25. Couldn't find anyone with that yoke. Found a few for the long pinion but thats only possible once regeared

They are available in the aftermarket but mine was factory in a late 89 or early 90 srw F350 with a diesel and a 5spd.

 

Well that's good to know. I thought 1350 was the largest that came on the short pinions. Is it strap like the 1350 or u-bolt

 

yukon gear makes a 1410 yoke for the short pinion 10.25, i run one on my truck. its the strap syle. basically they took the 1410 yoke from a long pinion superduty and milled down the inside to make the spline shorter.
