you'll have to get a new cable I believe. I used a 60" for my toploader but it was close. they do have an 80" also I got mine off ebay a regular tranny place. make sure you get the correct ends that's all. you may also need a speedo gear if you c4 doesn;t have one. I think it was $36ish shipped

Go to your local partshouse and look at a 1970 F-150 (or is that F-100???) speedometer cable and housing. If the 52 speedometer takes a 5/8 nut and the transmission end just slides in with a keeper bracket it should work. I'm using one for my AOD and Dolphin mechanical speedometer...

From what I've seen they are pretty much the same where they go into the transmission. The difference is where it connects to the speedometer. After a certain year they went to a clip on instead of a screw on at the speedometer head. The one I got was originally for a C4 or C6 but it fits my AOD...
