Can the rear disc brakes from the F-Superduty be installed on a 10.25" Sterling axle? There are so many upgraded parts on the F-Superduties that should have been stock on all Diesel Fords back in the day.

I'm guessing not due to bolt pattern differences and i agree with the upgrades.

I would say not because of the fact that the F-Superduty had 10 lug and F-350 SRW is 8....

F-SUPER

I've got an '89 Super Duty with 69K original miles on it. I call her BERTHA. Immacculate interior (I have pix). They didn't call them an F-450 back then, but mine has 1 1/2 ton springs on it. I have made a few runs with it, including hauling a 3/4 ton Dodge P/U back from MO. Pulled like a champ! I'd be interested in talking to you about it...

this thread is almost a year since the last post, and the person you quoted has not been on in over a year and a half.

1) this thread is old
2) not all manuals came with pto units
3) there were numerous frame options on superdutys. You need to measure them both.

I owned a 1992 F-SuperDuty "old school F450" Mine was with the 7.3 Diesel and an automatic Trans. w/ over drive. Mine only had 135*** KMs on the odometer...Not a single day goes by where I wish I hadn't sold that truck. It was my project truck and I didn't get to finish it to get it street worthy condition which is a shame. Mine was a 2WD, had 10 lug rims, dually, single cab, and had an 8' wide by 15' long flat deck with a huge headache rack. This thing was a true beast of a machine in person. I counted 4 leaf springs on each side in the front end...and 11 leaf springs on each side of the rear end. Would have made for a tank of a ride, but I'd be willing to wager that she's pull a freight train if you asked it to. If I owned one of those massive 40' Tri-Axle Fifth Wheels I'd pull it with that 92 haha.

The day it was transported home once I bought her. The guy I bought it off of helped me haul it home using his personal 97 (I think) 7.3 PSD F350 CC/LB/Dually.

Truck originally belonged to Fountain Tire.

A Massive GVWR of 15,000 lbs. A 5000 lbs Steer Axle. An 11,000 lbs Drive Axle.

And this was the VIN # on the truck...again mine was a 1992 with a 7.3 IDI Diesel, and Auto Trans, 2WD.

Single Cab, 8' wide & 15' Long Flat Deck, was honestly an incredibly clean truck inside & out for a 1992...and once being a work/transport truck for a tire company, was quite impressive to say the least in my opinion.

all F-Superduty trucks were 2 wheel drive from the factory.
if you see a 4X4 F-Superduty, it has an aftermarket 4X4 conversion kit in it.
