1948 F-1 Master Cylinder Question

Hello everyone! I have been trying to read through all of the historic posts on here to see if I could answer my question, but I havent been able to find anything concrete yet. Our F1 has the old suicide cylinder brake cylinder and we would like to upgrade that to a dual cylinder master cylinder. We dont want disc or power brakes, simply dual cylinders. What(if anything) is a direct bolt on to the truck to leave the M.C. in the original position?

Thanks,
Jamie

The early Mustang works with an adaptor - no machining nessary.
There is a post (last week or so) about the F1/F2 Transmission Crossmembers - this was discussed there.

Dick,
Thanks! Where can I get the adapter, or is that mentioned in the other post?

Bottom of the page - dual master cyl and adaptor

There are other design adaptors as well - let your fingers do the walking

I got my master cylinder adapter from ECI (Engineering Components, Inc.) www.ecihotrodbrakes.com If you purchase an adapter from them be sure to buy a master cylinder boot also. ( I purchased the Mustang master cylinder locally.)

Thanks BR F1. That part looks fairly straight forward. This is definitely the route we are going to go.
