Tire Pressure Monitoring System

I have a 2007 Lariet with the Tire Pressure Monitoring System. I recently installed custom wheels and they do not have the TPMS sensors nor do I want to pay the outragous dealer price for a set. Is there any way to disengage the system so I dont get the TPMS fault message and waring light. Please help

No there isn't any way to disable the legally mandated system.

You could buy aftermarket sensors (I think Tire Rack and Discount Tire sells them).

Shotgunz is right, there is no practical way to disable it, but some have taken the old sensors and put them in a homemade pressure vessel then hidden it somewhere on the truck, which effectively fools the system.

Why cant you reuse your original sensors? All you would need is new bands to fit the rims.

Rock Auto sells the universal bands for 18 bucks a piece and you can reuse your old sensors.....otherwise they also sell aftermarket sensors pretty darn cheap...
