Looking at a used 2000 Super Duty F-250 Lariat 7.3L turbodiesel. The price is good, the truck LOOKS great, but it has 177K. I know diesels can go the distance. But am I asking for trouble with this many miles?

 

Shoot no! 177K is the gas burner equivaltent to about 50~60K. It ain't hurt, but what i would look for is leaks on the motor, evidence of engine work, and wiring harness condition. Not too long ago, I installed a 308K mile 7.3 PSD in a F350 body i got real cheap. It is STILL scary powerful. A lil tough to crank, but what diesel ain't?
