Talking Factory Marchal FogLights...PICS!!!

Hey there,

I just got these S.E.V. Marchal Magnum Foglights, with the covers.
I got them from a friend that has had them forever, his dad has got them a lonnnggg time ago, and they have been sitting in his dresser for years.
They actually work too, and man these things are brightt!!! lol

But I wanted you guys to see them, because it seems like they are pretty rare, and most people havent seen any.

And im pretty sure these are off of a 78-79 ford truck/bronco, but my friend wasnt sure, Im going to have to ask his dad next time I see him, if he can even remember.

But I dont really want to use these, and get them damaged. So Id rather see somebody here restoring an old or something truck get them. So does anybody want to buy these pretty gems ???

But here are the pics, enjoy.

Thanks for looking.

I'm interested in buying them for the Bronco if you want to shoot me a price. Are they the 750 model?

Bowman85merc, the glass lens is marked 858 and if I remember correctly the stock lens should have 850!

Also the back cover appears to be plastic... the stock ones should be METAL... correct me if im wrong...

79-86 Mustangs used a very similar light, same brand and I have a TON of them. The covers for mine are a little different though, they are black. I'd like to put a set on my 77 but I don't really know of a good way to put them on without making it look tacky. The Mustangs have a different electrical connector though.

Not Genuine Ford, these were bought at an autoparts store.

The optional Marchal lamp kits sold by FoMoCo dealers and factory installed on 1978/79 F100/350's, Bronco's and 1979 and later Mustangs did not have Magnum marked on the lens.

The Checkered Flag on the covers is a slightly different design.

Marchal is a French company, has been selling lamps for decades for all sorts of vehicles worldwide.

If the box these lamps came in is still extant, it will have a Marchal part number marked on it, not a Ford part number.

1978/79 F100/350 & Bronco:

D8TZ15200B .. Marchal Fog Lamp Kit / Not available in Nebraska & Mississippi / Obsolete

Kit came with the following parts:

2) D8TZ15200C .. Lamp (also factory installed).

1) D8TZ15A214B .. Switch & Bracket (kit ONLY, factory installed is different).

D8TZ14677A .. Safety Relay (kit ONLY, factory installed is different).

1) One bundle each of 14 and 18 gauge wire / 2) Plugs / 1) Package of electrical hardware / 1) Installation sketch.

Notice that the covers were not included with the lamp kit...they were sold separately. If using with the push bar aka brush guard, D8TZ15266A .. Bracket Kit...was also required.

I did not see the word Magnum on the truck lens until numberdummy pointed it out. My Mustang lights do not say that just like he said but they are still really close to the same.

Talking

Hmmm, well these are not the model 750 marchal light, which is what the mustangs/LSC's have. Because my LSC came from the factory with them, and those are little baby lights compared to these ones lol. The 750s' seem like they would be wayyyy too small to be on a truck, and look out of place, and because the 750s' are basically useless, even on my car lol

These have the number 959 on the glass, if that tells you anything.

Heres a picture of them next to a Marchal 750 foglight.

And heres the covers compared to each other.

Thanks.

Oh wow! I had no idea the truck lights were any bigger at all, those things are huge! Yes I agree the Mustang lights would be way too small, I thought they were about the same thing.
So is Marchal out of business?

Correct, 750 is not the right number. The original model number was the 850. I also have a set of those 950's in the basement, they are way to big for the original push bar. They would be perfect for a roll bar application.

Send me a PM with what you want for them if your interested in selling them still.

I beleive the 950's were used on the 90's Ranger STX 4x4 trucks with the factory installed roll bar. I have one of those lights in my basement and the guy who gave me it said he took it off his kids truck.
