reasons to change youroil and do regular upkeep on your motor... pics

well these pictures are examples of why you change your oil, and do regular mantiance to your motor. The victum Ford 3.0 V6 from a 93 ranger (my first truck, i DID NOT do this to it) and ive actually cleaned it a little.

How many miles on it? Also why did you tear into the engine in the first place? That in all honesty doesn't look to bad considereing several different people have more then likely owned the truck and is high mileage I assume. No by any means am I saying that it looks good either.

yup danger ranger.... that isnt bad lol ive tore into several gm motors that have been 100x's worse....

looks like somebody was running quakerstate in it

Iwish i would have thought about takeing pictures the first time i was in, its had 2 cans of degreaser and a presure washing before this.
i saved this motor after i replaced it with one that didnt sound like a ticking time bomb and the reason i went in this one was to learn really, im 16 and this was the first motor i tore a part, the cylinders walls were bad enough to were you can see the warping in them, when i first opened it up there was 2 pushrods just laying in the valley, it wasnt good. the whole motor looked like the underside of the intake, except a good bit thicker

of course... they were GM motors

lol thats not always true... it was just poor upkeep with them...

the motors me and my step-bro had in our race car was spotless...

but we changed the oil every race

yea i was just messin around long as they dont start knockin they good motors. everyone in my family are chevy people, im the only ford one..but my truck sounds the bet and is the fastest out of any of them

Yeah. Thats not that bad. I had an 89 ranger w a 2.9 with 40k on it that i have receipts of QUAKERSTATE oil chsnges every 3k. I ended up putting a crate motor in due to all the sludge

QUAKERSTATE IS GARBAGE

Good thing i run vavoline in "pokey" itsbeen run on that for years and years now
