it will rub.like stated above thats normal.the thing is,the truck isnt pulling hard and your not smelling it burning.
its just not adding up to a sticking caliper.
no way would i shell out 50 bucks right now without more investigation.
when you put the tire on,you cant even turn the tire by hand one full revolution?
pull the caliper, and put the tire back on (though you shouldn't need a tire to turn the hub of course lol it should turn free and smooth).i bet you still wont be able to.

now when you put the new caliper and pads on,you need to bleed the brakes.
have you done that before? its pretty simple.
you just need to top up the MS with brake fluid, and open the bleeder, tell someone in the cab to step down.when all the fluid is out, tighten the bleeder and tell them to let up.
keep doing this until you dont see any more air bubbles.approx 6-7 times for that brake.as its close to the MS.
just make sure the MS doesnt go dry,or you'd have to bleed them all lol.-actually a good thing to do every 30k miles or so anyway.brake fluid will build up with moisture and turn black and rot your lines out eventually,so its important to flush that once in a while.
dont worry about that right now though.you could run into bad bleeder screws etc.just bleed that one, though if the pass side front bleeder starts using a 6 point,go a head and bleed that side now too.

I have seen a rash of bad brake hoses that cause calipers to retain pressure. What happens is the inside lining breaks loose, lets fluid by and when you release the pedal, the fluid makes the lining move, trapping the fluid under pressure. Kind of like a check valve. I have had the calipers stick, change the hose, no more stick. Recently happened on my 92 F350, changed one hose, should have done both, because the other did the same thing within a week. Glowing rotor and everything. A few months later, the driver side caliper did fail and stick, probably from the heavy heating it had suffered. Any more, when I do a caliper, I do the hose to be sure.

wow, thats crappy.iv never had that happen.that would be hard to test for as you couldn't see it from the outside.
i got a new one on my drivers side (in pic) im glad i picked up the pass side the other day.
when replacing rotors i was going to replace it and forgot.
wish i remembered today,i would have put it on.
i'll do this tomorrow.
thats good info to know.the drivers was leaking, and i was just going to do the other as every piece of brake line is new now besides that pass hose.
man i hope powerstroker doesn't run into that this time.
