2010 FTE '20-'56 Fat Fender Round-7 Entry Thread.

Make sure you include specifications, (The Bigger The Picture, the Better)
-----------------------------------------
First 10 Truck's are in! Any after that and I'll contact you for the next round.
Here's the rule's:
And with that - entry threads are now going to begin popping open
These are the updated rules for all classes - for all to see ~
1) Contest open to all model and year Ford Trucks (includes vans, SUV's, All Wheel Drive, all levels of customization, etc) WITHIN THAT CLASS

2) Number of entries in each round limited to the first ten who enter a round. If after two weeks have passed there are less than ten but more than one entries, the entries for that round will close and the deciding poll will run anyway. If there is only one entry it wins by default and moves on to the CHAMPIONSHIP round. Contestants may only enter ONE TRUCK per round.

3) To enter - post a picture of your truck at least 700 by 800 pixels in size (no links to other sites. Picture must be displayed in thread) Avoid extremely large images, please. (1024 pixels largest side of image). Huge pictures may interfere with some connection speeds. ALL images will be tailored to size by committee to fit in poll thread. You may only enter ONE truck in each round

4) RULE OF OWNERSHIP: You must have owned the truck AT THE TIME YOUR PICTURE OF IT WAS TAKEN to enter it. You may not enter anyone elses truck FOR them. No exceptions

5) CHAMPIONSHIP RULES:
The first place finisher in each round qualifies and is entered in the CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND.
After ten regular rounds, the CHAMPIONSHIP consists of the first place finishers from the preceding ten rounds running in a "Best of the Best" contest.

6) VOTE MONGERING: You may enlist your buds and chapter, other groups or whatever to vote for your entry. HOWEVER - be warned that all of the polls are anonymous, and your buds can always vote for someone else. There is no way to know! SPAMMING the forums should not be done at any time for this purpose, be careful what you do...

7) Once a poll is up for a round, it will be active until the last day of the month. These polls close by themselves and whoever wins does. If for some reason there is a tie - a tie breaker poll will run until the following sunday night at the latest. Local midnight is based on Central Time in the USA.

8) NON-EXCLUSION: Employees of FTE and/or IBI welcome to enter including moderators or other unpaid affiliates as well as sponsors of the site

9) REPEAT ENTRIES: Out of sportsmanship, it is asked that if you want to enter a following contest, enter no more than two in a row. After waiting for one in between, you may enter again. THIS WILL NOT BE ENFORCED! It is a request, in order to give others a chance. ONCE YOU HAVE WON A ROUND (this is important) you may not enter another round that season with another truck - your winning truck is automatically entered in the finals, and no more than one entry in the finals by the same person is permitted.

10) PRIZES: 1st place winner in each round will receive a free one year paid membership to Club FTE, which provides access to extra features such as the Club FTE Members Only forum. Those who already are supporters will be given a twelve month extension to the membership they already have.
PS: "You're damn right we're doing it again!"
Keep In Mind there are Entry Thread's in the other forums.
Let's show 'em how us "Phatty Fat Fenders" roll...
I've yet to have a contest that didn't have at LEAST 2 Fat Fenders in it, and this one isn't goin' to be an exception!
Thanks,
-Anthony 76SCS-

This picture is too small, but taken from my gallery:

Appologies to the forum members as I am sure you are tired of this piece of iron. But it called for specs so lets see if I can remember. 8 inch 3.00 rear, monoleaf springs on four corners, full reverse chrome wheels, narrowed Magnum tube axle 4 in. drop, 46 3 speed trans, Vega steering box, stainless steering links, aluminum radiator, Wilwood front discs with aluminum hubs and calipers, stock steering column, 1960 292 .060 OS, Isky E4 cam, balanced engine, Autolite 2V carb, Mummert aluminum 4V intake, minihitorque starter, aluminum timing cover by Rebop, aluminum water pump by rebop, aluminum thermo housing by rebop, 113 heads with 1.92 in. intakes milled .035, block decked .028, pistons .004 in hole, CR 9.2, electric fan and fuel pump, seat Mitsubishi pickup sectioned 4 inches, fuel tank aluminum fuel cell in bed, dual exhaust using Rams Horn original 1962 ex. manifolds to 2 in. pipes and glass packs, Autometer gauges, Chrysler PPG Canyon Blue over black, bed, fenders, doors tailgate, bumpers, grill, owner painted and prepped, cab and hood shop painted, two piece front windshield butted in center, this is making me tired.

Hi Dave, I came from Wichita, and a most of my '46 too. We moved out here to OR in '94, with the half built '46 in tow behind a U-haul moving van. Visit there about every 2 years since both sides of the family are all still in Wichititi. Your 42-47 looks better than what I started with so have fun .

Thanks '46! I hope to have fun.

The plan is for this '47 1-ton to be a restoration. I guess I feel like I have to put some specs up too, but there still isn't much to say. Stock 4-speed manual behind the 59A-B complete with oil-bath air cleaner. I even plan to keep that, or at least use the canister to hide an Amsoil filter. The stake-bed isn't much of a bed, but the outer rail is there. Still has 7.00-17 tires on all 5 (including the spare) what I believe are the probably original Firestone wheels, and 2 of them still hold air. The floor is shot, the motor is frozen for the time being, and we fought long and hard to get the bolts unstuck so we could open the doors. The tie rod is also broken from the loading/dragging process to get it on the trailer.

For now, though, this truck sits at my folks' house up near Ottawa, KS while I work on my first '42-'47 project truck.

76F350, after each of your posts is a link to vote on your truck for poll number 7. At the top of the first post #7 is for 20-56 trucks. Article 1. is inclusive of all trucks. The voting link doesnt appear on any of the other entrants. What is up? Is it up to each entrant to post similar link? If I/we choose not to go to the trouble to post a voting link where can anyone else find a contestant without a link to cast a vote.
