No Start-codes P1211,P1249 & P1316

Truck died while driving today. Put new fuel filter and spare CPS (Black?) with no help. Had to come home on the hook and find another way to get to work. Truck was running perfect but it did have the check engine light on and it has been for days. Pulled up to a stop at the bottom of an offramp and when I clutched the engine died and would not restart.

Looking at these codes do you guys have any ideas on where to start? Any help would be appreciated.

Are you running some sort of chip or programmer? Those would explain the 1211 and 1249. The P1316 is most likely the UVCH. Check both connections. Sounds like one backed out and thats what caused your truck to die. No power to the injectors means no running. See Chris' grat post here: P1316 UVCH

Post back what you find.

Finally got to work on it today and here is what I have found so far.
HPOP level down about 4" from top
UVCH connectors do not appear to be loose inside or outside
Resistance reading between common (center) pin and the injector pins of UVCH is 3.5-
22-23-23 on dvr side. Have not read the psngr side yet

I am getting kind of discouraged with this. I have worked all day and no solid answers yet. We have guests over for the holiday and I don't want to be tied up under the hood of my truck. I think I'll take it to a shop and have them worry about it.

On edit, I do not have a chip but I do have an exhaust brake using the stock EBPV. I also have an auxilliary throttle device

The 1316 means there are codes stored in the idm and have to do something like a buzz test to retrieve them. Are you getting any smoke while cranking? Have you checked all the basics like batteries, oil level, fuses...etc?

Don't know about the smoke, haven't looked. But you are right about the basics. The HPOP was low so I pulled the dipstick and it was a quart below the add mark so I put three quarts in it and about a pint in the HPOP and when I got it all back together I tried it and it started right up. Could the low oil level have caused this?

Thanks for your input. Now maybe I can visit with my family.
