Another A/C thread from AZ

I took some pictures of my set up so hopefully they will give an idea of what I have. Truck has ducting and some in dash components. The only real hint it ever had A/C is the sticker on the radiator support and the fact that the controls say cold as well as hot. Big box in the passenger side under the hood which I assume is for the heater. What do I need to make the A/C work on this thing? I dont have 900 to spend on a new kit. Can anyone tell me if I am just missing parts or if I am just better off biting the bullet and buying a whole new kit for this thing? was thinking about one of these kits.
Ford AC Kits for Trucks

if I have half the parts but can get away with one of the cheaper kits I can do that. I just cant tell what I have. I don't know anything aboutA/C systems except it sucks when you are in a tin box in AZ without one lol

The big hint that it had ac is the vents in dash, the big box under the hood which is the ac blower/heater core and the ac compressor mount that your coil is sitting on. Check ebay for Sanden 508 ac compressors and mounting bracket, the comp new is like $125-200.00

The condenser should be mounted in front of the radiator, you would need a new evaporator though. Auto parts store should be able to supply it all, look online

look at lmc truck's catalog online, that will show you the various components but I would suggest shopping around for them

You probably still have everything under the dash and everything inside the evaporator/blower housing (that big box under the hood).
You're missing the a/c compressor and it looks like the hoses are gone too. Can't tell about the evaporator, that goes in front of the radiator along with the drier (round, tube shaped thing next to the condenser).
Here are three illustrations from the Ford parts manual showing the underhood components.
Click on the .pdf link to open the file.
In the first two illustrations scroll to the bottom for the appropriate drawings.

I think you got that a little confused by mistake. Just the condenser and drier are up in front of the radiator. The evaporator is under the dash. The easy way to tell if it's still there is if you see two metal tubes coming out of the side of the big box under the hood right next to the firewall.

Also it looks like that compressor mounting bracket that the coil is sitting on is upside down. It may just be the way I'm looking at it, my work computer's screen is kinda dark.

I really need to proof read my posts! Yes, I meant CONDENSER, not evaporator. And the compressor bracket in the picture is mounted correctly, it looks a little weird when you first look at it because the "dip" looks like its pointed up but it's not. Just a 2D optical illusion.

THanks guys. I think they make a kit with just the stuff I am missing for about 450. I will take the whole thing apart this weekend to make sure nothing else is missing or busted. I dont know how long the stuff has been gone.

Ford Truck A/C Kit - Select an Evaporator - Stock Comp. Mount

does this kit look like it might be right? It is the one the woman on the phone recommended.

Doesn't look like a bad kit but I'm not familiar with it.

NAP is great to deal with, I bought some stuff from them earlier this year and they are very helpful. I highly recommend them!
