Smile Back on the Road in the '54

Thanks to your help and some new parts I finally go my 54 back on the road last week. Runs pretty well for no action in more than 5 years. Got kudos from more than two of the fine citizens in my community the first day out!

Congrats! Hope you caught the moment on tape, it's a special feeling to bring something back from the dead.

Thanks, Albuq, but it was dark and I couldn't get my wife as excited about it as I was - go figure.

Good idea though, I'll have my son do that with me tomorrow!

It really is exciting isn't it. I still remember when I first fired that 223 after swapping it in in the driveway of my shared college townhouse 30 years ago. Exhilarating!
