EGR Unplugged Question
Okay, for the short story, my truck's fan clutch is not engaging when it gets hot. Here is the long story if you are interested. LOL

So I took it into a local tire shop that I trust, definetly not a Powerstroke shop. For my EGR upgrade, I unplugged the EGR, replaced the uppipe, and put a block off plate on the EGR. So they said they plugged in the EGR and the fan started working. So I took it home last night and sure enough, the fan was running while idling. However, I unplugged the EGR and the fan was running at idle as well. I haven't pulled a hill yet to see if I can get the fan clutch to engage.
So, for those of you with unplugged EGRs, do you fan clutches engage when towing heavy up hills? And does the fan run at idle, when the truck is warm?
Please let me know your thoughts.
