A Manual Transmission swap
I have a 2002 Ford Explorer 4X4 with an Automatic that has gone out in it. I would like to put a manual transmission in it and I was wodering if anyone knew which one would work with all the electrical stuff on the Explorers. I would like to keep the transfer case I have and everything else. I would just rather have a manual 5 speed in it.

You would be better off putting a JY trans in it and trading it for a manual. The amount of work needed would overwhelm many pros and if you don't have the experience the job requires, don't do it. There is a potential boat load of electronic problems involved as well as linkage and pedals. Definately not worth the effort.
