This truck has never had an A/C unit. Does anyone know where I can get an aftermarket A/C installed or can my Ford dealer do it. Tnx

 

i would get most of the goodies from a junk yard. all f series trucks from 90-96 should fit. and the important stuff like compressor, dryer, orifice tube from auto zone with warranty. the dealer will charge you out the nose, if they will even do it

 

Yup! Junk yards are the best way to go! BTW, if you go that route, you may find that many of the AC controls will be missing in the trucks.. You can use any of the AC controls from many of the Ford series vehicles around the same years, as well as Mazda.

 

you will save a ton of money doing it yourself, and you get to know the system inside and out. even if you have to pay to get it charged, thats nothing compared to having a whole system put in. if you catch auto zone at the right time, they offer packages on compressor, dryer and orifice tubes. if bought at the same time, you might get lifetime warranty on them. i havent paid for a compressor since 1997. they always fit the trucks i drive.
