[quote=Forest_54_Ford;9036549]Well, thats true. He said it was done professionaly. I would have a welding inspector check it out first. but man, to just drop my cab on and go.... 307 olds is a good engine.

Just remember may be easy to go but getting back or how you get back may be the hard part.

Keep your eyes peeled, i had a broke front spring, picked up a good set from a guy that was lowering his truck, 50 dollars for a nice pair of front spings. found him local on craigs list. Also you were talking about needing brakes, i did a disc brake swap on the front of my 55 with a speedway motors kit. it was a slam dunk. the cost was not much more than rebuilding the stockers, 279.00 plus 40.00 shipping. keep at it, let anyone and everyone know what you are working on. the parts will find there way to you. Keep up on your own stuff and don't let the guy sucker you. (I apologise for the harsh statement) but to me by what i've read here this is what it seems. All of the comments above are right on. They are just trying to be polite. I have seen these 'great deals' and fast talkers before first hand, if his is so great why does he want yours? You have an awesome project there. Good on you and good luck. Your dream truck Will happen.
