Thumbs up MKX Rear ended by a Nissan Altima

Wife was stopped behind a string of traffic at a red light when a young gal in a 2005 Nissan Altima rear ended her. Wife is ok, just sore from the whiplash.

It is estimated that the Nissan was traveling around 30 to 35 mph at impact.

The Nissan's hood was folded back, the grille gone and the front bumper looked like a horseshoe and the airbag was deployed. Luckily the driver wasn't hurt.

Here's the damage to our 2007 Lincoln MKX, can you say

BUILT FORD TOUGH!

Good to hear the wife is ok. Find a good chiropractor for the whiplash. Those type of injuries can flare up years later and cause all kinds of problems.

Take a good look underneath at the hardware for the bumper under the cover. Many times it will be damaged and not appear so from the outside.

But you have to admit, it took the hit pretty good.

Yup, you'll definitely want to check underneath for damage or buckling. Just because it doesn't show any damage doesn't mean there wasn't any.

Also, that's an interesting license plate.

Got body shop estimate, $1,100 to repair. Took it back to the dealer, I'm sure they will look after us.
