hey, my previous owner installed a magnaflow exhaust and it sounds nice, but i want louder! im afraid to run straight pipe because i heard with no backpressure it can be a problem, somebody give me some ideas to make my v10 sounds rediculously loud

 

umm just so you know the V10 sounds horrible when run without a exhaust system the has some back pressure..

if your looking for that V8 rumble you wont find it hiding in your V10..

for what its worth the best sounding exhaust on a V10 i've ever heard is a cherrybomb equipped V10...

you can do a search here for V10 cherrybomb exhaust and find the clip.. sounds good i think you'll like it.

 

Just put one of the biggest oval offset-center Magnaflows I can buy on my V10, and I have to agree, for many it wouldn't be loud enough - it's perfect for me, though

You COULD try a smaller Magnaflow. The size has a lot to do with how loud it is.

 

I put the cherry bomb extreme on mine and it is LOUD, but sounds mean at the same time!

Thats what I've allways heard my buddys say. A redneck who got a paycheck and thought a loud exhaust would hide the fact that he's got no ability to please a woman the regular way.

my personal opinion is to run no muffler. i have hade no muffler on mine for two years with no problems. i think it sounds better if you split it in to duels instead of a single. it seems to make it a crisper sound. i have had alot of compliments on how mine sounds.

 

i want that muscle car/ drag car sound

 

cant get it with a V10 sorry..

the firing order of the engine is the reason the V10 sounds the way it does, and a V8 sounds teh way it does..

 

REALLLLLYYYYYYY hard to duplicate with the V10

 

Try a FM 50 series Big Block muffler. It sounds great on my 03 F450 6 speed. My 09 F550 is stock on the exhaust, and has a nice tone to it. It went to Manning for "exhaust modifications" before being sent to the dealer. Not quite sure what they did though.
