yellow antifreeze 2002, 7.3 diesel

i have a 2002 superduty with the 7.3 diesel im dumping the cooling system and the antifreeze thats in it is the yellow from factory. i know i have to replace it with the yellow but can i use prestone, or peak,

Prestone makes a yellow fluid, Its a universal type. As far as Ford's yellow. Im not sure if its the same thing. I have the green in mine still. But as soon as I can afford to Im ditchin it and goin with the yellow.

ok thank you i have seen that zerex and peak, are also compatible.

Not correct. International actually recommends a Heavy Duty Extended Life Coolant for the L99 and up 7.3L diesels. Since yours is a 2002, an ELC is the best coolant for your rig.

The only reason I posted was because, according to your post, you thought you had to replace your gold coolant with more gold coolant, which is incorrect. Since it looks like you're familiar with ELC and how it's a better coolant, I'll just say this: Flush your block well!
