Hi guys,

I'm working on restoring a 85 F150 but had a quick question.

My truck currently has the big chrome step bumper on the back.

Can a regular Bronco bumper (non-step bumper) bolt directly onto my F150? or is there some kind of bumper bracket that I need to find?

I like the looks to the smaller close to body Bronco bumper than my Step bumper.

Any help and possibly pictures of how the bronco bumper is installed would be great.

The bumper will fit. The brackets are a problem. I think the Bronco brackets are too short. As I understand it the right bracket can be found on early '80's f100's.

This picture mainly shows the body mount, but the bumper is on the right and the frame mounting can be seen. It's all I have for now.

 

The bumper is the same but the brackets are different is my understanding. Last time I bought bumper brackets for my F150 (from getting rear-ended) I got them at the dealer but that was probably 10 years ago.
