LETS RESURRECT A 78 F250....PLEASE HELP
ok, we have a kid/guy/gal over in the 87-96 forums asking for help to win a contest that will get him 10,000 worth of work done to his truck by one of his local radio stations....
we got him up to 7th place so far, i checked over here to see if he cross listed and didnt see it so i thought i would help him out and ask you guys to jump on the band wagon and lets get this old ford back to her glory days.....
i think 10 or 12 of us have voted so far over in our forum....lets get this guy in first place and get his grandpas truck hooked up !
Gentlemen, I need your help! While my Ford is a little older than this area of the forum focuses on, I wanted to ask for your assistance. I am the proud new owner of my Grandpa's 1978 Ford F250, Big Red. The truck has been in my family since it rolled off the showroom floor 32 years ago. My grandfather first starting putting dents into it when he decided to build a log cabin in the woods outside of Fairbanks Alaska at the age of 67. He used Big Red to yard the logs down to the road to be hauled to the build site. That were most of Big Red's dents came from. He also rolled it in a snowstorm a few years before his death. So most of the body panels are thrashed, but the mechanical parts are in good condition.
This is where I need your help. A local radio station is putting on a contest, called "Pimp my Pile." The winner will receive $10K in work to their vehicle to fix it up. I entered Big Red and started in 35th place, I have now risen to 10th place with 5 days til the end of the contest. So if you could spare me a few minutes of your time and go vote for me online, I would really appreciate it.
Please go to Anchorage - KFAT 92.9 > Home, click on the Pimp my Pile area. They will ask for a log-in, don't worry, they don't send junk mail. Once you have a log in, click on Pimp my Pile again and then vote for Big Red. Its the old red ford with no grill (grandpa lost that when he clipped a light pole in a parking lot, his eyesight was going!
