Hello fellow ford fans,
My 1999 ford F350 has just over 200k on it and it recently sat for awhile without being driven. Now when i drive it the engine occasionally misses and trips the check engine light. I put fuel stabilizer in the gas tank when I stored it and just changed the fuel filter. I also put fuel injector cleaner and octane booster in it. This did not help the problem. I hooked it up to a generic ODB code reader and it gave me a couple very basic solutions. the EGR valve and sensor were stuck open or broken, I replaced both of these just over a year ago. It also said it could be faulty plugs, wires or coils. I just replaced the plugs and no change in the performance. Im tired of throwing money at the problem, any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
