p0741 need code help
Od light started flashing on my last tow. Turned the truck off restarted no more flashing light. Tow for a while longer and the light starts flashing again. Went through this scenario a few times on the way home. Been running around town for the last couple of weeks unloaded and no flashing od light.
Speedometer seems normal but it does seem to kind of jump into gear when upshifting.
Meet up with fellow FTE member (thanks again cammodown) and he did a scan for me.
P0741 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit
P1209 ICP Peak Test Fault
P1211 ICP higher lower than desire (engine running)
P1298 IDM failure
Pretty much stock 2002 83000 mile truck except for a Edge Juice with Attitude.
Any Ideas?

Can your Edge not read codes? The Edge is known to cause rough shifting issues. What tune where you in when the light was flashing while towing? ICP codes are not uncommon with a tuner, and an IDM failure will leave you stranded on the side of the road. If you've got a dead IDM code and the truck still runs, I'd write that one off too.
The first step would be to set the truck back to stock (completely remove the Edge stuff) and see if the problem repeats itself.

No aftermarket tranny temp gauge. Just the stock one. I kept a close eye on the stock gauge while I was towing and it never moved. Did have the tranny get hot about 10,000 miles ago sitting in stop and go traffic cresting the continental devide. Towing heavy. Had burnt smelling fluid so drained halph the fluid out and replaced it. Drove another 3000 miles or so and completly changed the fluid. That was the only time the tranny ever got hot since Ive owned the truck.

I disconected my Edge junk and no change in my tranny shifting. Check engine light came on though until I hooked it back up.
Tranny fluid did smell a little clutchy but Ive smelled worse on trucks that had no tranny problems.
Tranny still isnt getting hot and I havnt had the OD light flash since I was towing on Memorial weekend.
Tranny seems to jump into gear when upshifting between 30-55mph while (easy criusing) on flat roads. If I hammer the skinny pedal (not easy cruising) it doesnt shift bad.
How can I tell if my problem is the Torque Converter Clutch or if its the Torque Converter Soleniod?

Is there anyone with an AE or scan tool nearby? With the AE, there is a live data meter function that will read slippage in rpms. It compares the trans input and output sensors and gives you the amount, in rpms, the trans is slipping. You watch the rpm when the TC locks. Ideally, you want to see close to "0".

Got lined up to do a live scan next week(thnx again cammodown your the man).
Ive been driving (unloaded) the truck for about 4 thousand miles with my torque converter issues. No changes in how it drives at all so I dont think its gotten any worse.
Im assuming because it hasnt gotten any worse that its my TCS.
Could I have done any other damage to the tranny driving for so long with a bad TCS?
