Tire size question??

Hey guys newbie here. Got a question I just bought my first super duty 2003 F350 V10 Im going to buy a set of tires, stock size is 275-65-16 How big can I got without problems?? I plan on putting a plow on too if it matters on size. Any help would be great.

It depends on what you mean by "problems." A lot of people have gone as high as 315's on stock wheels, but I think you'd run into rubbing issues on the springs. You have a 7" wide wheel and the 265 is the highest recommended width for that wheel. You can go bigger (like I said, many do), but you run into issues with sidewall flex and accelerated wear since you are bowing the tire more than it was designed for.

I bought 8" wide wheels (that were very near the OEM spec for offset) and put 285/75-16's on it and they barely fit. At full lock and bottoming out I don't rub, but my tires barely clear the fender liner and have a bit of room before they rub on the springs for what it's worth.

Is your truck at stock factory height?

My 2 cents are any rubbing is unacceptable.

You might get slightly taller than 33" to fit if it's slightly narrower, but I wouldn't really go taller/wider than brian42.
