Fiberglass Fender Identification help please!

Hello,
I recently purchased a used set of fiberglass front fenders for my 1990 Ranger. After test fitting them last weekend, I was surprised how poorly they fit. After thinking about it more, I thought there might be a chance that these are the fenders that convert to newer year headlights grill etc. Also, after looking at other Ranger pics with fiberglass fenders, I noticed that there fenders fit around the headlights and the trim below the headlights near as good as OEM fenders. Any thoughts or info on this would be appreciated. Thank you!

the poor fit is just off road fiberglass in general. It's a bummer, but it's life.

The fenders in the pic you posted are for the 89-92 body style ranger that you have them on.

Naw - there's a reason you need to summon me to get me to post down here - and the above post speaks for the mindset of too many here, and I don't feel like dealing with it.

MLRTME1 - if you have any questions feel free to PM me. This is my old 89 ranger (with update fibeglass). I've been doing this for 15 or so years and have been around the block a few times when it comes to "prerunners".

Somewhat. He's the one that told me there was a guy who could use my help down here. Plus I know he's moslty joking in what he says as he knows full well I can build circles around him

There's another one or 2 down here that honestly share that opinion that I try and avoid though

Thank you for the replies! The one other reason I thought they might be conversion fenders is that both sides fit exactly the same with the same gaps. This is about the 6th set of fenders I have installed. All of the others have fit very well including the truck in my gallery. Thanks again!

yeah - off road fiberglass can be hit and miss unfortunately. Some stuff is "good" and other is pure crap. It depends on a lot of factors. Generally speaking though off road fiberglass leaves MUCH to be desired when compared to many other types of fiberglass parts when comparing quality and fit.

Based on the fitment issues you are having I can be I know who made those fenders...

Already did...

Unless you mean the ones for the 70's trucks.

The ones on the ranger above are a mold I own - 10" flare each side allowing a full size track width (+/- 85") on the ranger.

And with that we have just about hit 5 PM Pacific time. That means work is over and it's time to head to the shop. I have some solid aluminum body mounts to be making for the supercab
