My 64 F-100 with a 292 engine has a 1-belt pulley in the harmonic balance. I want to add another pulley in order to have power steering... how can I make it a double pulley instead of a single pulley without damaging the engine balance ??

 

You don't need to change the harmonic balancer, or modify it.

All you need to do is what Ford did, bolt on an accessory single sheave outer pulley to the balancer.
