RBP Grille D.I.Y. mod, save $500!!!

Not saying the quality is the same but for around $25 in supplies and about 2 hours of your time, I think it looks pretty good. Let me know if you want to know what I used and how to make it.

I never have either, and after checking their site out I know why! HOLY CRAP, I think just looking at their site just cost me $50! Let's see here... grill for the rig??? Or eat this month?

Nice work on the grill. Nothing like doing it yourself, saving a ton of loot, and being able to say "I did it".

Use a dremel and cut out the center part of the grille so that it is flush to lay the mesh grille (mesh for protecting gutters that doesnt rust) then drill holes about 2-3 inches apart all the way around. Then 1/2 inch hex bolts (zinc) with locking nuts. slide mesh over bolts ( gotta stretch some holes in the mesh to line up and tighten the bolts afterwards. Paint the grille obviously before assembleing and dont use flat black paint. Use the bed liner in a can as it will be protected from rocks, debris and bugs that hit it on the highway and wont chip. thats about it. I bought everything i used at Lowes Hardware

Personally, not my style. But to see that you did that for $25, and they are charging $520... that says something. I also don't like how their brand name and logo is on everything they make. If I'm to buy something from a company, I want it to do its purpose alone, not act as a billboard, also.

I'm thinking it might look ok with slightly smaller bolts around outter sides of the grill? Looks good as is,,, just a thought. Somehow it looks like something is missing. Maybe a blue or custom black oval might look ok.

Looks good. Only thing I would add is maybe a matching grill between the fog lights.

Nice work JD. I'd say it looks pretty good. I had seen RBP products before, but didn't know they were as expensive as that. I want to know who's idea this was?Rolling Big Power - Diesel Performance

They need to be shot. That looks ridiculous!

p.s. just realized that particular page is for the grille...I was referring to the re-placement of the head lights.
