...NOT my thing.....to me it just seems like a 200k waste!

How many "drivers" could have been built for this much scratch?...

I figure the $200K includes the cost of man hours, it's the only way I can figure that price. If he paid someone to do it, I'm sure that guy is ubber happy, but where is the fun in that? lol

i think i said this last time this truck showed up on ebay but anyways. I can not figure out why the heck everyone thinks they need a 500+ hp blown engine in a truck that will never be allowed to smoke the back tires. I mean come on nobody is going to pay 200k for a truck and then take the chance of throwing a rock into the rear fender and chipping the paint. If i was going to build a motor like that it would go into something that i could actually open up every once in a while when the ricer boys get to cocky. the stock y-block would load it on an off of an enclosed trailer just fine. Then there is the polished chassis and axles and stuff apparently none of these guys grew up on a dirt road or anywhere that it snows. It is purdy tho and a very nice build but not for that price.

 

yeh the chassis looks fab.. but keepin it clean will be impossible..

I have enough trouble with mine..

I have only 436HP tho.. so I can gun it when I want to.. nice to see the dual streaks..

You can say it is one one nice looking 56. A little ways out of my price range. Just think for 200k you could build a very large garage and also buy at least three or four nice trucks to put in it.

 

That is simply 'over the top.' When I get 'Rusty Red' runnin I'd like to park it next to something like this. They would not let me got close, I'm sure. Even with the 'see through' fenders on all corners and custom ventilation through the floor of my cab, I think ole Red would have greater utility than this dream boat. Hey, I don't want to be too critical. Everybody needs to do and enjoy their own thing.

 

The only problem I have with it they say its a full restoration and its not its a custom build dont call it a restore job when its clearly a custom build up

Ok- the devil made me do it! I just bid $17,000 on it and I'm currently the high bidder. Luckily the reserve has not been met!

assuming I ever had that kind of disposible cash, I might build one like that. But like everything I own, it would get driven, tires smoked ect. Course with that kind of cash, you can repaint the bumpers fenders ect as needed if running it hurt anything. shrug People say I am nuts cause I have 50k in my trike, it will smoke the tires, bring the front end 3' off the ground and is doing well in shows so far. I drive it back and forth to work every chance I get and everywhere I feel like riding. never owned a trailer queen never will

Well ya know I really do like this truck.

Its not that I want it or anything. And I'm not a "show car" guy myself, but as a home builder when I see this kinda top quality stuff I really admire their craftsmanship.

For sure these things are not practical--although this could be used on the streets for riding around--but I wouldn't want to have to clean that chrome undercarriage--even once.

Its a total show car to me, but it actually runs--some show cars "dont'".
So I'll givem credit for that.

My only criticism would be that I just can't unerstand how they could think that the air cleaner sticking through the hood--fits with the trucks overall "theme" so to speak. To me that air filter is a glaring item that doesn't fit with everything else they've done so well.

I'd like for them to cover that air cleaner with a nice shapely painted hood scoop as part of the hood. Maybe a nice painted sheet metal scoop with the air opening at the rear? Something like that? Something that was contoured to fit with the hood etc. I could live with that.

But overall they did a super clean and great build.
