Just bought SKF front wheel bearings for my

truck---saw the "made in Mexico" on box and started to

wonder about their quality. Got 'em at NAPA. Anybody

have any comments on their products ? Thanks. J.R.

 

SKF is a good brand of bearing. only bearing that lasts in my dirt bike.
Not many made in US. Timken is another choice but I wouldn't be afraid at all with SKF

Gotta love NAFTA (made in Mexico). I use SKF when I replace anything bearing wise on my vehicles (as long as they are available). I've never had one of their bearings go bad.

I have always used Timken, never used SKF so I couldn't say.

 

Thanks---would have preferred Timken, but SKF were easy

to get ( NAPA warehouse about a block from where I work ).

Have heard some good and no bad about 'em, so they sit

on the kitchen table ready to go in this weekend... Reason

for concern---want to take truck to Arizona and don't want

to lose bearings at 75-80 MPH in the mountains... The factory

bearings now sing and moan after 250K + miles...

Well just seat them solid, grease 'em good with a quality lube, and don't overtorque 'em...I know you got the basics, but just reminding you.

Hate to see that you got the bearings in and got stuck because of a simple oversite.
