It's a pleasure to be here. I've learned so much just being here this short time. This is my first diesel. It's a 06 F250 SD CC 6.0
Just reading yesterday I learned the jet engine noise coming from the hood was normal as it was the fan coming on after a long drive and in 90 degree heat.
About 20 different things went through my head as to what it could be and of course they all had to be expensive and there was no way the dealer could replicate it.
Trying for the coolant filter mod this weekend after reading up here. I'm actually taking a diesel class at the local dealer next month just to get more familiar with it. Love the truck and love the forum. I gotta say 99% of the time everyone is so friendly and respectful. Thank you for having me.

I grew up on the sandhills, but now I am stationed at ft bragg. I have been a member for quite a while and have benefited greatly from the knowledge of many users. I currently drive a 2005 V10 4x4 Eb Excursion with only minor upgrades, but a wish list a mile long.
