This is where I saw that it had to be tapped in to the intake. I was just hoping to cut into a hose somewhere.

There is a hose going from the manifold to the MAP sensor that you should be able to T into. This is on the rear of the engine compartment, somewhat towards the passenger side.

Or you can drill and tap into the intake elbow. It would require you remove the elbow but not that difficult a task.

I installed the Diesel Manor gauge set a few years ago and did the t tap in the map sensor line but it caused the boost gauge to fluctuate wildly. After talking to their tech help I was advised that tying into the intake elbow would eliminate the problem. I removed the elbow pretty easily and was able to drill and tap it without any problems and it works flawlessly. As suggested through, a 30 pound boost gauge is not quite enough as I can easily peg mine while towing.

I have a 35PSI and it's fine for towing/everyday driving. If you're pulling the intake elbow to tap it, be very careful when you re-install the bolts. They are easily stripped, even when going to the spec'ed TQ value. Get them snug, that's all you need. Snug them up again after a couple of heat cycles and you're good to go.
