NV3550 to Klune to twin stick Dana20

I have got the setup installed and the T case shift linkage done. It's still on jack stands with the front axel out but I should get that back in today.
No major mods needed. The setup fits under the 68 like Ford planned it.
Front driveline is now 30 inches and the rear is 28, nearly centered. With the clocking options of the Klune the T case is rotated about an 1.5 inches higher than stock but by moving it back 6.5 inches the front axle ujoint angle is better than it was. The rear axle Ujoint angle is right on with 6degree shims under the leaf springs.

NV first gear x Klune x D20 low x 4.10 axel gears=
4 x 4 x 2.43 x 4.10 = 159 crawl ratio.
D20 in high and Klune in low= 65 crawl ratio.
D20 in low and klune in high= 40 crawl ratio

I've got detailed instructions if anyone is getting ready to do this.

how

How did the NV3550 match up to the original drive shafts? I have been told I would not need to make any modifications to the shafts if I install it behind the stock 289 in my 68.

The new crossmember bolts in the stock location using the stock holes. Then a new rubber mount bolts to the member and a plate bolted to the rubber mount and the bottom of the transmission. The T-case hangs off the back of the tranny with a 2 inch adapter and the original bronco adapter is not used. The t-case is then located in the original location, driveline lenghth is NOT changed.

BUT the T-case clocks upward about an inch higher. AA says you have many options, wich you do, several higher. Not lower. Any lower and the front CV joint would hit the cross member as it sits in front of and below the front driveline.

This creates a slightly steeper driveline angle and caused a fairly severe vibration starting about 30 mph with the hubs locked in. It was not there before.
I am running a 3.5 inch lift with 7degree C-Bushings.
To eliminate this you would have to modify the crossmember to clock the Tcase closer to the stock rotation.
Or rotate the front axel like it should be(EXPENSIVE).
Absolutly great gears for the Bronco. wouldn't change any of the ratios if I could. Shifts very nice. Synchro first gear.

It goes very slow in compound low. The Klune shifts very easily and works great to drop it into low when backing up for any reason. The clutch in my Bronco will probably last for ever.
