video of 2011 F-150 Ecoboost

Found this video on YouTube of the Ecoboost F-150:
YouTube - 2011 F-150 Ecoboost

Now I know this isn't much but its the 1st video that i've seen of the ecoboost F-150.

This also is showing that the 2011s will get the same 4.2" LCD screen used in the new Super Duty.
Also is it just me or did I see a M right next to the drive symbol. Could this mean the 2011 get a manuel shift feature for the tranny as well?

I had a BMW 335i that is a twin turbo and it did not have a boost gauge.

I was in for an oil change on my F150 and was talking to my salesman and he said that the 2011 Ecoboost was getting 26-28 mpg in testing. If the Ecoboost puts out the torque I had in the BMW it will be a kick in the pants to drive.

It's interesting. BMW was always against forced induction, and back in the day if I ever thought BMW would have gone forced induction, I would have put my money on super charging. But BMW has similar technology to the Ford EcoBoost. It's obviously a game changer. I think the 335i is based on a 3.0 I-6? This 3.5 V6 in the F150 should have a lot more power and torque! (with no disrespect at all to the BMW). Can I have a paddle shifter in my F150 Lariat Crew 4x4 long bed? (with FX4 suspension, locking rear axle). Thanks Ford

I have owned turbos in the past and there are certain issues that you need to watch for. Turbos run extremely hot so you need to use a synthetic oil. Next after driving you need to let your car idle for a few minutes to let the turbo cool down. The other issue is durability, turbos tend to go bad before the engine does. Turbos can be fun to drive and can give you more kick in a smaller package but there is always a trade off.

I'm pretty sure these days, you don't need to do that. You can just get in and drive, and just turn the engine off as soon as you park it.

You are correct. This is the way it was for the 335i.
