Good place to run power inverter cables?

I got two 4 gauge cables 8 ft long. Been looking around. I'll see if that's a good run. Is there any room around the shifter colum like under the boot? Back when i bought the truck the reverse light wires were run through there an inch to a toggle
I'd like to mount it behind the seat, I got a cobra cpi 1575 so its pretty big. Only reason I ask is cause' I don't want to drill a hole in the firewall to make my own grommet if I don't have to
