If you buy an aftermarket piece, Iʻll take your stock piece!

I said it first!

I call BS on this. Site your source. They have been around since the 70s so if they weren't any good they would not still be in business. Suck to clean? Spray with cleaner, let it soak, rinse, dry & re-oil, how does that suck?

its the waiting 24hrs to dry that sucks. and in any off roading situations id avoid a k&n i used one for a couple months and the upkeep is a little rediculious. just my opinion but easier and cheeper to just replace with oe when needed.

i love k&n but i have been told in racing atvs with hi po motors that they dont filter good, but flow great. they recommend foam but thats for a 4 wheeler or dirt bike. i use k&N on most of my cars and trucks but on my small block i did get the edelbrock pro flo foam filter. i recharge my k&n and its good to go in like 2 hrs in the sun light. we just did not like how small the tubes on his 300 efi were so the tube is what i was asking about more than the brand filter but its all good. this is not a performance motor and he can use the money some where else on the truck

Just buy OEM/Motorcraft air filters.
If you think about it, paper filters have been in use for many years too. I guess these filters must work.
