1 ton springs

i have a 96 f250 4X4 351w 5 spd and i was wondering is it a direct bolt on to swap 3/4 ton springs with the 1 ton springs or is there some fab work involved i know alot of things on these trucks are easy swaps between the models but i didnt kno if they where longer or not. my front end is a little lower then the back will it make it even worse or about the same? thanks

The sprins should be the same overall length

Three things to consider -

The brackets for the extra inner leaf may or may not be present on your truck. If not, then get those as well.

The rear of your truck should sit higher than the rear. It is a truck after all and not a Bronco. It is intended that the truck sit level ONLY with a medium load. Leveling kits are bad news if you actually use the truck for heavy loads.

You will not have a 1 ton when you finish the swap, as you are limited by axle capacity. You will however be able to carry the same load with less rear end sag which will make the truck drive better due to something called frame slope and its affect on front end alignment.

Good luck, David!
