Teresa, Tis hard to say what might be in the ol truck today, but a 352 rather than 360 would have been issued. I wasn't aware autos came in them either in 67, but could be wrong.

NAPA should have most any part needed. I don't have trouble with parts for my 66 F100.

Teresa, It could very well be a 360 that was swapped in along the way. It was 68 before the 360 was introduced.

Look between the two center spark plugs and read the number that you find, like C8AE

No 360 (or 390) engines were offered in F100/350's until 1968.

1968/72's use a different harmonic balancer than 1965/67's with 352's, The two balancers do not interchange.

Look on it for a stamped FoMoCo ID number, post what it is.

It is impossible to look at any FE engine and be able to ID it as to what size it is, so how come your mechanic was able to ID it as a 360?

IMO, he was guessing.

1965/67's w/352's came with the MX Cruise-O-Matic, which has 14 trans pan bolt holes. The pan is rectangular.

1968/76 F100/350's with 360/390's came with the C6 Cruise-O-Matic, which has 17 trans bolt bolt holes. The pan has a large notch in it...it resembles the state of UT.

You've responded to a thread that is almost 3 years old.

Did you notice that post 7 was typed 6/07/2010 and the OP's last post (#5) was typed 6/5/2010?

Reminds me of what Gov Reagan said about redwoods...."when you've seen one, you've seen them all."
