What year is your truck? When did it start? Have you done any repairs etc.. recently? Do you have a lift? I am guessing it is an '05-'07...

It sounds like you have the Death Wobble.

Go grab a beer or twelve, search the forum for "Death Wobble" and start reading... There seems to be many causes with many solutions with no real answer.

The first thing is to check your tie rods, I have found that to be a big problem if you have over sized rubber on the road.

Next to check is for blown/bad shocks, big shake at 65 mph.

Good luck

dual steering stabilizers have help some folks with the death wobble as well. but that really should be tried only after verifing that all of your steering components are good to go.

With my truck when the belt in the tire separate it will shake bad after hitting a bump
Every time it shakes i know it is time for new tires.
I have known several others like it to do the same

If you do a search for "death wobble" you will find a million posts on the subject.

"Typically" with the 05 and up. This is a known problem with the coil suspension front ends and equates to improperly designed steering geometry. This can happen on stock trucks as well as modified. There can be one, some or many different items/issues than can result in the death wobble. Ultimately, the issue is with the steering geometry and can most likely be cured with having the draglink and track bar parallel with each other. If you don't have a track bar drop bracket or adjustable bar my guess is that's your number one problem.

Having new shocks and stabilizer is a start. You will also benefit highly from a "professional" alignment with caster/camber shims.

What WOBBLE?

Ford's TSB on Death Wobble says the first thing the Ford technician should do is verify that the tires are inflated to the pressure indicated on the door sticker, so you might try that first.
