Cool Need some help concerning a bellhousing problem

So ok I know this isn't exactly FOR a slick truck but since some folks here might HAVE THIS SETUP in their slick I thought I would ask anyway.........

problem:

460 cu in V8 ( 7.5L) bell-housing broke at / around the clutch stud ( some folks call it a clutch ball...) the motor is mated to a 4 speed Hydraulic shift ( slave cylinder type) 4 speed ( toploader??) tranny. apparently the bell-housing on the manual linkage type tranny is different than my hydraulic type ( so that even though it might fit my motor it would not work with the slave cylinder, or at least what Ive been told)

Anyone know where I can find a replacement Bell-housing for a reasonable price, no luck finding one in any junkyard local.

if you must know.......the setup is mounted on a 85 f-350......

I have already posted in that forum but I guess alot of those guys dont fool with ford Big Blocks like I'm hoping the great folks here in the slick sixties forum do ( thx btw for all the help so far )

Thanks again!

Aaron

1983 was the first year Ford offered a manual trans (initially Warner T-19 4 speed) for the 460.

All came with a hydraulic clutch as 1983 was also the first year for this setup as well (for 460's and 6.9L's).

1984 was the first year for hydraulic clutches for everything else.

Since the last year for the 351M/400 was in 1982, none have a hydraulic clutch.

BEFORE buying a 460 bellhousing, be aware that there were TWO different types. The hydraulic clutch parts are specific to each bellhousing.

If you buy the wrong bellhousing, the parts will not interchange!

Bellhousings are marked with Ford ID numbers.

E3TZ7505B .. 1983 ONLY 460 Bellhousing / Marked: E3TA-7500-BD

E4TZ7505A .. 1984/87 ONLY 460 Bellhousing / Marked: E4TA-7500-CA or E7TA-7005-AA

1988 and later, Ford did not sell the bellhousing separately.
