Scammers mingling amongst us, be wary!

Of course the English used here should have been the first clue!

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...ering-box.html

Myself and HillBillyBob both had offered to help the guy but he was just stringing us along I think? and eventually had th eballs to ask if a bank to bank transfer was ok and that he lived in Europe. and needed a shipping and customs quote.

Anyway, I know where all a smart bunch but just a reminder that some of these scammers are trying new avenues?
He actually knew enough that the steering box wasn't something he could buy from a vender....
The other first tip off though was when he wanted the old 4 speed crash box and was willing to pay the shipping for it, even though I told him it wasn't worth the shipping

Cheers

Josh

Bank to Bank transfers are pretty safe. Its the individual wire transfers like western union that have risk.

I have sold a lot of parts to overseas buyers and they are often willing to pay 2x the price of the item in shipping.

Are you sure he's not real?

Ya I'm 100% sure he's a scam, I forgot to mention he states his name as John via here and email, then in his last email giving me his Addresse it's Mr Fuch's, he asked if bank wire or western union was ok. ( Maybe it's Mr John Fuch's )

I've been wrong before, (once I think) but this smelled pretty fishy so I'ts not even worth my time for any price.
