Yeah I can only imagine how that went, I have broken a couple little things myself. It seems the frame and suspension take the most pounding in sand. In mud, everything takes a pounding. Where you really tend to get into trouble in the dunes where I live is when you decide to go play in the "puddles" down by Lake MI. They can be really deceiving on how deep they can get. I watched a guy fill the interior of his Chevy K5 with over a foot of water... the crazy part is he was rolling on 40s!

Yeah things didn't end up so good for that guy afterwards. The engine, trans, x-case, diffs, etc all took on water... amazingly enough only the tranny (TH350) pooped from having water in it. Not to mention like you said regarding the electrical system, he started having problems with fuses blowing. I like playing in water too, but after seeing this I pick my battles carefully.

My buddy had the same problem, he had to get all the water out of his engine, axles, transmission.

He was told that his transmission is toast, water will make the clutches fall apart and that is that. But after a couple oil changes and putting some fuel treatment in it, (the stuff to get water out of your fuel system. ) It was good to go, and he is still running it.

Here's a few more pics, my girlfriend took for me (thanks hun) and loaded them on here. The first picture you can see I chopped a good bit of sheetmetal out of the wheelwells. It makes the 37s look small, I should have room for 40s later on hopefully. The second pic is of the front bumper I built from 5" square tube (formerly a lamp post) I have integrated brackets for D-rings which tie directly into the frame; also I have a 2" receiver tube built in for a multimount winch. The third pic is a close up shot of the front bumper. The last pic is a progress shot of the rear bumper, it will basically be built the same as the front bumper. It will have a spare tire carrier, hi-lift jack, and gas can mount; it also will have a 2" receiver tube for the multimount winch.
