that lincoln would've made a killer { literally ! } demo car !!!!!!!!!!!i tried a couple of times to make 80's era wagons into viable demo cars and they cannot compete with the sheer size , mass and weight of a 70's era car ! anyway great save on the truck . gave up a lot of good parts i'm sure , and a few to sell . i got my lil' cuz's kid an s10 free { it donated it's t5 to my cause } and he has shown very little interest in it . the other day they came over and looked at the 52 customline and jr was enamored with it ............ there's hope for the young'uns yet i think !!!!!!!!!!!!!! monkey face ????? i'll take a monkey over that dain combine grille in the 51 and 2's !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i still miss my 49 f4 smiley .

yep yer all right no matter what brand i hate to see a good vehicle get destroyed , especially if someone a little less fortunate can get use from it instead of walking everywhere . i never understod why instead of destroying the " clunkers " the government didn't allow the dealer to sell those cars really cheap to someone in need . not all are as fortunate as we are !!!! also the ones from the past for good or bad have so many memories tied up in them and make great projects for the youth of today who don't want to drive a fart can equipped wrong wheel drive turd .................. i had a big block 74 { EGADS } monte carlo and it was a sneaky ol' beast !!! it won me a few dollars in street light gran prixs on the edge of town ... and no it wasn't stock and even had the optional lil' blue bottle of giggle gas in the trunk ....................

Bruce,
The rest of the truck including the bed got sold to a guy with plans to turn it into a dump trailer. It was a nice bed, but it was on a hoist and probably wouldn't have done you any good anyway. The F-4 trucks were considerably longer and bigger than the F-3 trucks. The F-3's were basically a heavy duty version of the F-2. The only real difference was heavier springs, bigger brakes, and I think a heavier rear axle. The F-4 through F-6 were on a larger, heavier chassis and share nothing with the smaller trucks besides sheetmetal and powertrain. You should be looking for an 8 footer off of an F-2 or F-3. Good luck!
