My 99 EB Expy has the famed oil pan gasket leak. I got a fel-pro gasket replacment and rolled under the truck to have a look see. I have not tried yet, but I am not sure that I will be able to get the oil pan off. There is a crossmember directly below it and it does not look like there is sufficient clearance to get the pan off. Has anyone here done this repair? Do I need to lift the engine up a few inches or will I be able to shimmy the pan off without unbolting the engine?

Also, any tips or tricks with doing this job on this vehicle would be appreciated. BTW this will be my first time to install an oil pan gasket that does not require RTV, so wish me luck!
