6.2L exhaust sound

6.2L exhaust sound
brings back memories. Many years ago (good old 60's) we used to run dual straight pipes packed with steel wool (until it rusted out) for that cool stock car sound. I thought I had outgrown the urge to stir the beast within until I found the d**n new truck is going to get me into trouble. What a hoot - the low reverbrating throb of the 3 1/2" - 4" exhaust turns into a real snarl when you put the boot down. It sounds like you have dual tuned performance pipes. Talk about mid life crisis - ever hear of a 6500lb red sports car . My wife is already muttering about old fools. The exhaust is definitly sounding different as I put more miles on it, not mellow but a deeper, louder and more rythmic note. Sounds like the title of a good ol hurtin song! Nuff of this I'm going out - start the truck - sit in the driveway and blip the throttle and pi*s off the neighbors

If you like the old fashioned hot rod sound but don't possess a new 6.2L Superduty, save excess wear and tear on your lips and put one of these Dynomax Performance Exhaust | Vehicle LookUp | 2010 FORD F-250 SUPER DUTY on your 5.4L Superduty. I had a super turbo three chamber true duals with no crossover on a Ford years ago and it was about the same volume as my previous Hemi powered 2500HD. 2500HD's don't have a resonator. Nice authoritative exhaust note without the drone in the cab. I'm thinking of ordering this set for my 2010 5.4L F250. I enjoy an occasional migraine but I like the hot rod sound. Dynomax Superturbo muffs are my happy median.

Why not? Diesels have twice the torque of most gassers and last twice as long. They may cost more to maintain and fill up, but you do both less often. I've found that you break even either way.
