With a truck using a C6/9", driveline parasitic loss is around 25% from fwhp to rwhp. 700hp at the flywhhel would be around 525rwhp.

Some of the newer cars like the LS1 F-body and Cobra run 15-16% loss.

thanks, i could expect 400HP out of it, right? I saw a 1968 4X4 with a healthy 390, told it was 400 HP and it did a wheelie for 50 foot. It had 36x14 R15 tires on it, and 4.10 gearing, and automatic trany. I hope mine can do a wheelie! there's a dyno about 50 miles from here, maybe in a month or two i will see how much HP is being put to the ground.
