The Explorer stripes changed every year. In '73 there were only two different stripes offered, white and black. D3TZ-1020000-G white, D3TZ-102000-K black.
The '74 stripe was similar to '73 but has three stripes instead of two. These were also only available in black and white. D4TZ-1020000-A Black, D4TZ-1020000-B White.
In 1975 Ford changed the stripe design, it now goes along the upper part of the body, up one side, across the hood then down the other side. These were offered in four colors, D5TZ-1320000-B white, D5TZ-1320000-C yellow, D5TZ-1320000-D orange, D5TZ-1320000-E black.
In 1976 the stripe kit was offered in black, tan and white. There are 24 (!) different part numbers depending on color cab style, wheelbase, etc.
In '77 the kits were available in blue, red tan and white and again a ton of part numbers.
In '78 the design went to multi-color stripes. They were available in chamois/orange, chartruse/green and silver/black.
'79's were available in tangerine/gold and white/gold. This year it also made a difference in the stripe depending on whether the truck was built in Michigan or not. This year there were 22 different p/n's for the kits.

Here are illustrations from the Ford parts catalog.
1973 is type one, '74 is also considered a type one but is called a "Type one, three stripe".
'75 is type 2, '76 is type 5, '77 is type 8, '78 is type 11, 79 is type 12.

No one has the '73 stripes anymore but the later ones can sometimes be found at one of the obsolete parts suppliers. Let me know what color & body style you have and I'll look up the p/n.

No, wait, I forgot the Best-est, Most Rarest, Most Coolest, And My Favoritest Package Ever! (Besides The Super Camper Special, of course)
The '76 "Spirit of '76" Bicentennial Package. (type 10 in The "Explorer 3" .pdf Mike has listed, Which I also have a Copy of...(Mike, How do you save one page at a time...?)
Warning: What you Are About To See has Never Been seen or Shown To the Public Eye, Please Use Caution.
Presenting: Spirit of '76!

See That Emblem, It's Rare, and is specific to This Package, When I saw one on E-Bay, I JUMPED on it.
Here's Mine, Next to My Ranger-XLT Emblem ('73-'76 Style is Red, White & Blue, '77-'79 Style is Ugly, and Red)

Here are Some Bicentennial Trucks:
(These Were Available in TWO Setups, The One Shown in The Brochure, and The One's Pictured.)

Vintage 23 channel CB.You had to have an FCC license back then to use one.The owners FCC call sign is still on top of it.

This Truck Still Has The Factory AM Radio.

Vintage FM Converter. This FM unit plugged into The Back of an AM radio, so that you could hear FM radio over your stock AM radio/speaker system.

---------------------------

This was not part of the Package, But, It's Cool.

----------------------------

(Note: See Those Awesome Explorer-sih like Seats...? Those are Specific to this Package.)
Why do I have to own the rarest type of dent-side, and it be the ONE exception...?
Here's Some Sort of Company Conversion thing done in the '70s...
