Help with pricing and build date of leftover 2009

Hi guys, I am a current owner of a 2006 6.0 Lariat CC dually and thinking about upgrading to a new 6.4. I know the mileage is an issue, but I will do the deletes and tuner ASAP so hopefully that will fix some of the issue...as it is with my 4.10's I only get 14 or so mixed driving and at best 16 hwy if I keep it below 70. I have my eye on a leftover 2009 CC SRW Lariat 4x4 that is stickered at 54K and in talking with the dealer they are down to 42K. Does that sound about right or do you guys think there is still some room left there? Also am I correct that these numbers off the window sticker is the build date:

9C163 N RB2X 930 000278 03 16 09

I am assuming the last numbers mean a build date of 3/16/09?

Thanks in advance guys and look forward to any and all info/feedback to try and make a good decision.

Brian

I think they are still high so there is probably another 3-4K they could come down, then rebates.

There is a lot more they can go
You could find a 2010 for that or less
Push them.....

Sounds good so far guys. They said that price was with the 7.5K in rebates from Ford. I am gonna mow it over some more and maybe go hammer on them some. I have had the major updates done already to my 6.0 like ARP studs/gaskets, FICM, injectors, etc. and it seems good now, but now that I am out of warranty I don't want to be footing those bills if problems arise again....decisions decisions decisions

nope, I do have a 5th wheel slider on my short bed. Reese signature 18K.

My truck listed for 48K BTW, lariet CC 4x4.

Ask to see the invoice, tell them you want x-plan pricing..not that they have to give it to you. Then add rebates.

Dude, as soon as you drive that truck off the lot, you lose two years depreciation. They are selling you the truck for $49.5K, they get the rebates, not you. You should get a min. of $17.5K off sticker with rebates, probably more. I did about a month ago, sticker $51.5, paid $38 OTD. This dealer is being extremely greedy. Even if you pay $37K, they still get the $7.5K in rebates, so they still get $44.5K on a $54.5K truck. DON'T DO IT AT THEIR PRICE!! The sucky thing is you pay tax and title on the price including the rebates, not what you actually pay... sucks.

I bought an 09 with an x-plan pin, 7700 in rebates, and 7500 "dealer incentives", out the door for $30,885.00 a month ago. It's an XLT, but the MSRP was $51,710.00

They can do much better. It is an 09. Ford is giving them dealer incentives over the rebates that you can see. You can get a 2010 for $15k off sticker around here without asking.

$15,200 is the max they're going to take off of the truck. Period. That is the maximum allowable loss Ford, or the dealership will take on the truck. That is on the 09's and 10's. I am very good friends with the General Manager/Owner of our local dealership. Total savings on my truck with the x-plan pin was $20,825.00. I got a VERY good deal, and that's reality. I'm sure someone will come on here now and say Ford paid them money to take a truck, but that's just daydreaming.

And to caveat, the dealership doesn't have to take the x-plan pin. That's why I bought the brand new 09, instead of a 2010. They'd take the x-plan pin for the 09, but not the 2010.

Well thanks again guys for all the info. I think I may make the trip to the stealership tom and tell them I want the truck for 38K OTD and 26K for my trade (26K is the excellent cond trade value according to NADA, Intelliprice, and Black book that I found) and hopefully they don't laugh at me too hard ! I am sure they won't give me a penny for my truck being studded, 4 inch stainless turbo back, B&W turnover goose hitch, tinted, clear bra, and tonneu cover...I just hope they don't start DEDUCTING for an altered truck LOL.

Thanks again guys and wish me luck!
