Anyone who OWNS a 6.7, Problems??

I have a 07 Lariat 6.0 and am looking at the NEW 2011 and was wondering Should I nut-up and get the New one. I have 73,000 miles on mine and only had to replace the Altenator.

Someone talk me out of it!!!!!

Here is my truck now. Ford offered my 24,000 trade in. Thats about what I owe,..a little less than that. I kinda understand the trade value becuse they are knocking close to 12,000 off the 2010's.

My Truck:

Thats a sharp truck you have. Why are you even considering getting rid of it?? If it hasn't given you any problems, and it probably won't if you continue to take care of it. Why sell?? I was in the same spot a few months back... I was very lucky I got to keep my 05 for my DD and the 2011 F450 is our car carrier for our buisness. Theres just something about my 6.0 that absouletly love... As far as problems on the 6.7... I have heard of no such thing as of yet.

Pretty nice 07 Shane, so far the forums have been quiet about any problems with the new trucks.

I'm honestly looking for someone to talk me out of it. In the back of my mind, it's the horror stories of the 6.0. My warranty runs out at 75,000 miles. I'm getting ready for a 3,000 mile run to Key West pulling my Airstream and just worried. I know it will make it, it's just that when I get back warranty will be gone. I don't know why I'm woried My 2001 7.3 had 198,000 miles on her when I traded her in.....It's the 6.0 horror stories, I think.

Thanks for the above posts, guys...beleive it or not, It helps.

Keep it. Need convincing?

You can repair most anything on your 6.0 for the equivalent of 3 payments on the new one.

Keep in mind, there a more 6.0's out there than anything else. That being said of all the horror stories I hear, how many are due to Tuners? Lack of maintenance? Poor fuel quality? We'll never really know?? But if you've taken the proper steps to prevent as much as you can you're way ahead of the game. Will your 6.0 still break? Probably, but hell they all will. And when it does fix it. Just remember one thing, most people don't come to this site just for the heck of it. They're usually lookin for answers to their problem or questions...

Nice truck!!!!! I would sell it, its an 07, the last and greatest year of the 6.0(super duty wise) if you have had no problems i wouldnt be worried, just stay on top of maintenance.

If you do sell it pm me, i really like the color

Heck, I'm in just about the same position. My '06 has just 70k on it, it's paid for, and it has been good to me. It just wouldn't be right to dump her for some younger good looking bimbo down on the corner lot. Although I would enjoy a test drive.

...keep the Made in USA 6.0 - collector's item

Hello,

I say you should keep the 6.0, since it probably has another 200K in it and it is likely to be one of the last American built Ford diesels. The new oil burner is mexican... I was in the same situation, till I learned this. It will be a cold day in hell when I trade my American iron for an import... just an unnatural act.
