Difference between C6 2wd and C6 4x4?

I am trying to figure out if I can use a C6 out of a 2wd truck for my 4x4. I figure the 2wd C6 is longer than the 4x4 but I dont know if its possible to use on a 4x4. Any help is appreciated

You will have to install the 4x4 output shaft, which will require a complete tear down and you will need the 4x4 extension housing also.

Thanks for the reply! Thats kinda what I figured. Do you know the availability of those parts? Such as can they be bought retail or do I need to find them?

I wouldn't buy those parts retail, you could buy a complete 4x4 trans cheap and have all the parts needed.

You might as well at that point just rebuild the 4x4 trans and use the 2wd for parts.
